rim centre hole sizes

Postby oldplodder on Thu Mar 21, 2013 7:44 am

Something I can not find is information on centre hole sizes in rims?

My issue at the moment is finding rims to fit both my camper trailer and the 2012 triton.
Standard triton centre hole on a mitsubishi steel rim is 65mm.

My trailer hub (drum brakes) has a machined lip which is 105.5mm dia, and supplied as landcruiser hub.
Currently using patrol rims (white 16x6) on the trailer, with 110mm centre hole.
Ran 235/85-16 tyres on patrol rims on the previous 1996 pajero, had 10 sets of rims and tyres.

I am finding 2nd hand rims with 90mm and 100mm centre holes.
(Too stingy to buy new!)
Would like to use navara D22 16x7 rims (about 35 offset), but they have 100mm centre holes.

Machine the trailer hubs, find other rims, or go back to patrol rims for triton and trailer?

Hubcentric rings. Available on Ebay or through most good wheel retailers in a whole range of sizes. These will fill the space between your hub and the wheel.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

I'm fairly sure D22 has a different stud spacing.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Will it be a good show ???

Thanks everyone,

Yes have checked and D22 is the triton/mitsubishi 139.7 PCD 6 stud. The new D40 is smaller PCD.

Found an answer.

The local trailer parts place supplies a similar 10" electric brake drum, and as part of the service will machine the "landcruiser " drum hub to the required size to suit the rim being used.

Drop them off next week, $15.00 each to machine the lip on the hub from 105mm dia to 95mm dia.
