33" on mk triton

Hi guys, I have an 04 mk triton with 40 suspension lift and 50 body lift currently running 265/75/16 on the stock glxr rim( I think they are a +38 or +40 offset.

I have been offered a set of 16x8 alloys with 285/75/16 fitted, they are a +8 offset will these sit closer to the guards or closer to the chassis than the stock 38 offset rims?

The stock rims tyres fitted at the moment do run slightly on the rear chassis rail under extreme flex.

Thanks guys

Less positive offset will sit closer to guards (as you put it.) You may have some clearance issues on the front with +8 offset and 8" rims.

Have a "search" as offset has been well covered in other threads.

Its a MK- I have no idea on what factory offset you have.
would be confirming that, but my belief is that they are closer to netural offset than stated?
