Older weissenfel ladder snowchains

Postby flatcountrymick on Thu Jul 03, 2014 6:23 pm

Hey guys, scored a set of 2nd handsnow/mudchains that fit the OE hwy tyres for only $50. They are weiseenfel ladder chains and they fit pretty good but I have a question about the tensioners. The previous owner secured the tensioners with occy straps. I am thinking while that works small shackles or even a cable tie would be better. Anyone own these or have any thoughts?

Unfortunately I dont have photobucket and cant figure out how to post photos on NTN

Many years ago my weisenfels had a clip thingy to tension them (on a 15 inch wheel).
