If I had the money....

Radius arms on the rear axle ( as per coil sprung unit )
- locate axle better, prevent axle twist and tramping
- relocate both shocks to the rear (symmetrical damping)
- Panhard rod or Watts Linkage

Leaf spring would require shackles both ends

Decouple-able anti sway bars front and rear

Alloy rear axle assembly to reduce unsprung weight would be nice

As I understand it Ultimate sold out of the first run pretty quick. I think most of the second run is also already spoken for but Brendan can correct me on that if I've got it wrong.

As one of the first purchasers (always an early adopter, when will I learn  ) I can say I'm pretty happy with mine so far. I've only been driving with it for a couple of days so we're talking first impressions but the whole setup feels much tighter/firmer and there's less body roll turning corners. Apparently my setup needs another leaf and new shocks (carrying to much crap will do that to you) so it's probably not optimum at present. But it's pretty good... I imagine if I knew what I was doing as a driver I'd rate it even higher

Serious stuff Stefanos.

Looks good. How did you scan the chassis to get those drawings?

Draw and test....draw and test!!! :) :)

Many things are ready on drawings(panhard rod mount on diff, shock mounts, sway bar mounts etc)....I'm waiting some prices for the coilovers(2" or 2.5" dia)...and for rear axle with genuine diff lock(maybe 9.5" with disc brakes......I hope!!!)

Hi,
I'm looking at fitting a rear sway bar to my 2013 MN.
I see there are basically 2 available, whiteline and ultimate.
From what i can tell, the difference is the whiteline mounts to the diff and the ultimate mounts to the spring hanger.
With this the whitleline protrudes under the diff slightly and the ultimate sits above the diff out of the way.
Just trying to see which would be better and if any other major differences . They are similar prices.
any info would be great.
cheers, Rod :P

Does the white line mount from the front or the rear?

Yeah Ultimate's mounts from the back.

I had an earlier model from Ultimate that mounted from the front - and to my way of looking at that Whiteline item I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of them. Looks the same, right down to how it mounts and everything. Only mine was painted silver. Well it wasn't mine it was Geek's. Anyway who can keep track?

The point of the story is that I now have the ultimate one which mounts from behind.

It may just be perception, but I reckon I notice the new one more than I used to notice the old one. My truck has never been one to roll too much, partly due to excessive weight and probably partly due to having HD springs but the new sway bar seems to have tightened it up. I also thing the new one has better clearance offroad. I may have scratched and scraped the old one up a bit...

The other thing I found not long before I took it off was that the mounts up the front can come loose and rotate slightly. Not sure if that was a design thing or just because I didn't pay it any attention and never tightened it or checked it once it was on.

Hi,
thanks for all that info... I think the decision is made then.. ultimate. The mounting from ultimate on the spring hanger seems more secure than whiteline re the clamps on the diff and chance of moving.
Also add more clearence..
I shall call ultimate for a quote ...
cheers :)
