So, I was convinced that my knocking was attributed to the rear quarter panel issue in the MQ, but after reading this and taking it to pedders, they found the issue is in the rear leafs! He thought it was something to do with the slip pads needing lubrication, which was causing the leafs to jolt as the spread, instead of slide.
So I dropped each rear off a drop and let the tyre hand a little, then jammed them full of inox. Not only do they still knock, they seem to be the worst they've been!
I have to take them back, but I am heading off on a 4 days trip towing the van around and won't get a chance! They are starting to worry me, but if it is this 'excess movement in the leafs', are they safe to drive around on?
