Just reset rears myself and they measure 590 from wheel centre to flare.
Fronts with new coils from King Springs measure 580mm from wheel centre to flare.

Dobinson springs with Lovell's shocks:

FR- 615mm
FL- 620mm

Rear is higher but my ute is a tray back.

Btw those flares most have must be pretty thick? Way different measurements to what I have.

Just had my Ultimate suspension put in. What a difference it makes. Car handles great on the road, off the road it's amazing. Can't believe the difference it's made..

FR 575
FL 575
RR 650
RL 650

Will wait for it to settle and check again.

I have noticed that a lot of people have the rear of their truck much higher than the front. I have measure my truck. Remember I have bull bar, winch, so thats a lot of weight in the front, the suspension I have right now is ironman. When I installed the suspension the back of the truck was to high compared to the front so I put back on the OEM leafs. So what i have is the OEM leafs in the back with ironman shocks and in the front ironman full suspension.

FL 596.9
FR 596.9
RL 596.9
RR 609.5

I am surprised with the difference in the rear, never noticed the difference.
With this setup I'm running 35's with no problem.

Any ideas I can gain 1.5 inch more? that will make me really happy.

Is that measurement from the centre of the wheel to the guard? It seems like a very big lift for Ironman suspension. What combination are you running? (e.g. HD Coils + raised coil seat) I'm pretty sure at that height you would be sitting on the bumpstops and risk damaging the struts and other driveline components.

Around 50mm difference front and rear is preferred on the Triton. This allows for the correct weight transfer through cornering and braking.

If you read in my build up thread you can see what kind of ironman suspension I have and I mention a small spacer of 1/4 inch.
Here are 2 pictures from under the car where you can see the bump stops, so far 17k km, no problem at all.

My ute has the ironman constant load in the front and performance springs in the back. Not real happy with it i need more height. Most are getting 570-585 in the front and 610-620 in the rear.

Where did you take those measurements from? They seem really high! Anything over 590 in the front is pretty much on the droop stops. Brenden told me they aim for 570 front and 620 rear!

I think that may have to do with the fact that the fuel tank is near empty as im changing to a long range tank this friday

Also as the front left has dropped, it would have raised the rear right ;)

It looks like the suspension has settled nicely 8-)

Ride Heights

Postby UAV on Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:14 pm

Is it possible for someone with standard height unmodified suspension to measure something for me (specifically for the guys with trays)

Could someone please measure the height of the rear on both sides from the top of the diff to top of the chassis as shown in the pics this will help us determine our ride heights. Thanks.
