Just a heads up fellas !
There will be a drop diff front end available soon 2 different models to be exact ,
Sworn to a little bit of secrecy as I know the fabricator making them for a certain well known company.
First kit will compromise of a 25mm drop diff (uca's and diff track arms) which gives the guys with 2" - 2 1/2 lift kits flatter cv's .
Second kit will compromise of 4" x-member/diff drop and a full custom UCA so you can still run all the standard spindle and running gear - unlike the Thai cast spindle that is absolute shit!!
These kits will be cnc cut and folded and welds like WELDPORN not some little Thai guy with some plate steel and an angle grinder and gasless mig putting them together .

I'm told that Xmas is going to be the earliest :D
Happy days ahead

I did not say any names because it's all in the pipe line and believe me there are bigger players out there that supply this sort of gear than MR .
I can't answer if the 4" kit if it will be legal (I highly doubt it) but the 25mm job I would say will be legal and engineered as there is a lot less modification to the structural integrity of the vehicle .
There are a few players out at present looking at doing these but like it has been said they have more interest in hilux, navaras, etc ... It is going to happen very soon - I assure you I have had a prototype in my hands it's coming .

So it's engineered?
I really hope so only for everyone's safety, I'm not poo pooing it but there is a reason why it has not been done yet!

That sounds very 8-) 8-)

Heard many stories in the past, but if it is finally coming to fruition for the Triton then I'm pretty happy :D

No "kit" can be engineered. Only individual vehicles can. If it is completely bolt on with no modification to the chassis or cross members, a diff drop can pass engineering. This is becoming increasingly difficult though especially with Electronic Stability Control. To pass engineering, the rest of the vehicle has to be legal as well. We have had so many Hiluxs and Landcruisers fail engineering these last couple of years because the tyres were too big, offset was too wide or they had illegal accessories (e.g. HID headlights).

It will be interesting too see what kits develop in the future. There are a lot of companies looking at going bigger now. Hopefully they do it right or else it will bring the whole industry down. We are phasing out our 4" kits in Australia. The engineering issues and liability concerns are too great. From the end of the year, we will only be manufacturing high lift kits for export orders.

Z notched front frame, way of the future ;)

Won't help CV angles, but you'll get the required lift and keep a lower centre of gravity :D

Really a center of rim to guard measurement of about 570mm to 580mm is all that you get practically lift a Triton. More requires modifications. This height will be achieved with a 2" lift kit.

Hi all, I hooked up the Goldstream van to the triton for the first time today. The van is quite high and the Triton sagged quite a bit.....the tow hitch wasn't to far off the ground. looks pretty stupid. What should I do? Will it cost me a fortune to get it to level out? Would an arb rear bar lift the tow ball hight from the standard one?
if I put better leafs in the rear will it make the ride for the kids to hard for general driving? The car is a 2011 . I have a canopy on it.....no bull bar. Please help...I have no idea what to do and don't want to spend a fortune. Just scraped up the money to buy the car .
Thanks

Are you saying the ball height and the hitch height were mismatched? Or just that it dropped a lot when it took the weight of the van?

It dropped a bit and is slightly mismatched. I will take some measurements in the morning. But to lift the rear is it just the leafs that need replacing? As you can tell I have no idea on suspension.
