Oil or Gas.

Oil or Gas.

I'm not sure if this has already been covered here (a thousand times). What is better oil or gas filled shocks? I found some KYB Excel-G shocks and struts for cheap and they are gas filled.

They are all oil filled but some have nitrogen in the system too.
You can actually gas a non gas strut in a nitrogen chamber, nearly bought the gear to do it in the 90's.

KYB are an original equipment manu. so as long as they're a decent size they should be good quality.

I ended up getting KYB Gas-a-Just for the rear suspension. I had them installed this morning and I haven't had a chance to test them out fully, yet. I will get them onto corrugated and potholed roads asap, as that has been my trucks biggest problem letting the rear end jump way out to the side. I am still looking around for front struts, as the store didn't have anything in stock.
