oil mist on manual boost controller

hi guys,

i have started to notice oil mist on the outside of my manual boost controller (installed when i had the Ecutek work done), is this something normal, or is this the start of something i need to act on quickly?

i have cleaned it all up so i can see if it does it again and how much it produces during this week but dont want to kill it if it is something avoidable. i have also replaced the Provent filter as the previous one was soaked so i shall see how that goes.

if its the turbo going, its the perfect excuse to do the turbo conversion

No that is just oil mist from your PCV venting through the boost controller. Normal. No turbo upgrade for you!

Mine is covered in oil, I just leave it

thanks for that, im glad its nothing serious, but also sad that i dont have a perfect excuse for a turbo upsize.


oh well, one less thing to do before next years big trip. although, i was kind of looking forward to the turbo upgrade, it would be interesting to see how far the ecutek boys would push it for me.

might try to find another motor first, just in case
