Hi All
Apologies if there is already a thread on this topic, I have searched and can not find anything.
Over the past few days I did a manifold clean and my valve clearances (what a total ##$@**), all went well(ish) and I had no CEL's once I got it all back together. However, in my infinite wisdom I thought it would be a good idea to spray the fuel injector connectors with contact cleaner prior to reassembly. Not such a great idea as it seems to have swollen the rubber seals inside them and they would not clip back on . So to get the thing going again I just removed the seals from the connectors, all good for a short term solution but I will obviously need to replace them in due course.
Does anyone have any experience with replacing fuel injector connectors. I have found that you can buy them online in two forms, with a pigtail lead which requires cutting and joining or you can use a removal tool to slide the pins out of the connector and just replace the plug.
Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
