Just took my Mn in for the 15,000klm service, they did the hotline fix for the squeaking rear leaf springs, hopped under to have a look when i got it home and noticed grease all over the front left wheel and brakes looked a bit closer and found a split in the cv boot??? How can a tech not notice this when the car is on then hoist ( Motorama Springwood QLD) A Day later the car started coughing and jerking around when under load, towed to the dealership and found out today it's the suction control valve.. Having a good run( insert sarcasm here), now i know why land cruisers are expensive, might be because they work!

Yep. I'd avoid that like the plague...

No reflash is going to get rid of the carbon problem unles they write out the egr function and they wont do that. There are other avenues available which would be better IMHO.

They'd be better off to offer all the customers a free Catch Can or fitted for a small fee - would be cheaper for MM.

FYI the software for this has been out since 2010, so most of them prob have already been done, especially if you have had a manifold replaced during this time.

Details of Hotline fixes/technical service bulletins/recalls

Postby dan.batto on Sat Jan 07, 2012 6:32 pm

So I have the problem number 10 listed in the first post, knocking around steering column, when turning left to right and also when going over bumps etc. anyway what I want to know is that will Mitsubishi now deny that warranty fix as I have installed the ultimate suspension?

Just noting the VIN lookup html isnt working for the last item on the list. Will PM site mod incase its fixable.

"Recall notice issued for some ML Tritons "Replace the rear axle U-Bolts"
Click here for details and VIN range"

Correct HTML is http://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/957236

Hi guys I have recently bought a second hand ML GLX dual cab 4x4 with 3.2l turbo diesel i was wandering how do I find out if any of the recall stuff has been done. Is it stamped on a plate in the car somewhere as there is nothing in the books. Also I have just got 45000km on clock and where I live (katherine NT) I don't have Mitsubishi dealer in town nearest is 325km away. I have tried to get info from the interstate dealer in queensland I bought it from but they couldn't be bothered.

Mitsubishi "can" deny warranty on items that are changed, or impact.

So in short yes, if your first dealer sends you away, try another, some are good.

Is Lee-Thal in Vic? He is good

I think MMAL has it all on computer centrally somewhere because I found when going from different dealers that they were still able to access what had been done to mine before. So try the diamond advantage number (actually here it is 1300 13 12 11) that should be somewhere on a sticker, keyring or owner's manual and see what they can tell you.

And Smouch, Leethal is in Brisbane.

Can someone tell me what this is and roughly how long should it take for them to fix it.

If it drives okay I wouldn't bother. They hook up a computer and update the firmware or whatever on the ECU. Can't see it taking more than half and hour?

 Bloody hell. You getting a new engine for that. Go see your local mechanic. Never paid more than $500 for a service.

so just had the girl in for its 60k service and told them about my noisy clutch when not engaged, probably the thrust bearing or spigot shaft bearing.

picked her up and they said theres now a hot line fix for the problem.

Hot line fix number is MN21-001

they said its a clutch assembly replacement, i asked whats involve in it and they didn't know.

she goes in on the 26th so i'll fill you guys in when i get her back.

have been to the dealers 3 times so far. first time they for the ABS light and airbag light and a knock in the steering. they had to order a new clock spring and said that a wire was broken on a sensor for the ABS and wanted $380 to fix it and they couldnt fault the steering so i joined the wires together and all good. went back and got the clock spring done and then i needed a seat belt tensioner for the airbag light and the same fault in the steering they couldnt fault. so they rebooked me in for the tensioner to get done today and i was looking on the site last night and found the hotline fix for the steering colum and told them about it and they managed to fault it and put it through on warranty. Thanks for the help from this site.

Had the reflash done for surging around 2000 rpm.
Hotline fix MN13-001 for MN models - Surge at 1750 to 2000rpm with LOT (Little Open Throttle) on Triton 4AT with 4D56 engine.
Should this have been done during the routine service?
Or is this an as required item?
Anybody know how old this fix is?
Is subiman no longer with us? the first post needs updating.

Subi was one of the first mods and has since disappeared.

Looks like that reflash is already on the first post
