I'm sending mine for the 120000 service today. lets see what they say. I brought the rumble/tick/knock to their attention at the 1st oil change. let's see what happens after Mitsu SA was spoken to.

gonn be an interesting one... albeit a long shot for new pistons...

OK, had a look at mine. It's a little confusing as the tag has
Model: KB9T and about 6 more letters and numbers and under that has
Engine: 6G74 and nothing else.

Assume that means 6G74KB???

In the old Falcons and Commodores the number was stamped on the block.

Hey Slim,

Had a quick look at the engine number this morning before work, from what I remember it was 6G74ST...

Not sure if this helps you at all? :?

Where did you find the Engine number peoples?

My plate - passenger side near the headlight only has 6G74 and nothing else.

Why not just look it up in the service and warranty book at the front?

Well I got my V6 back last Tuesday, new pistons and re-aligned rear springs..so now I got a V6 that sounds like a V6 and a rear end without any squeaks, not sure how long it will be before the squeaks are back but sure as hell makes a huge diff. I could be wrong but it feels as if the V6 has a bit more grunt, thou I did have the 15000k service done at the same time so might just be that everything is a lil tight again and running smooth.

Could not fault the Dealers Service Centre, they did everything they possibly could to make it as painless as possible and only took a week to do. Totally stoked :D

And I can now enter a Macca's drive thru without the fear of hearing all them sh#t noises

I'm a happy lil vegemite WOO HOO !!!!

Just hope its long lived and not short lived :)

It seems our engine numbers/series are not far off. They must be alphabetical TB TC TS. I take it yours is a bit younger than mine, not far off homer's...

Guy's, Unbelievable, There is a hotfix for shudder. :o

Spoke to gnomes today and he had taken his car to the dealer to ask the question about the shudder we are getting after 1 inch lift. and there is a hotfix.

Spoke to my dealer today too and have booked it in for thursday to have it looked at and even with the lift he said there is a hotfix. Fingers crossed they can fix it cause that would have to make the warranty look better. 8-)
