I think you'll find the genuine items are a bit cheaper.......I know the top hose is about half that. :o. :?

Help

Anyone got the correct replacement options for the AC drive belt on the 08 3.2 motor.

I can't find any Mitsi to Dayco or Gates cross references.

Most site show a 13A0900 and this is way too short! It won't even fit over the pulleys with tensioner.

Thanks in advance.

Yes biggi, the part number is the only one I can find, however the dang belt is miles too small, can't even get it over the pulleys with the tensioner removed.

Unfortunately, everyone only had one specimen in stock, so if its labelled wrong, I had nothing to compare with.

Amazing how much quieter it is with just the new alternator belts. Putting on the old AC belt back on returned some squealing.

I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago I thought the same. Eventually got it on after spilling some blood and swearing lots the other two are easy. If its any help I did it from under the motor and turned the crank shaft to roll it on once I got it It had to be tensioned a little. I doubt you would be able to put the tensioner on later.

Have you released the tension from the tensioner pulley?
You shouldn't have to remove the pulley.

Saga complete now mattz.

I removed the tensioner pulley completely at one stage and couldn't get the specified belt anywhere near getting on.

In the end the only belt I could find was the same as the original that came off = 13A0925

The alternator were as specified = 11A0950 x 2

I'd say a 13A0915 may be ideal for the AC as the tensioner is within a cm from fully tensioned with either the orig or new belts.

Agree the AC belt is much easier from below. I took off the small fan shroud section - gives good access.

Nice a quiet now.

For as long as I can remember the a/c belt always seemed to be one of two options, either 13a900 or 13a925, sometimes the 900 fits and sometimes it doesn't

Getting that 900 belt over the AC pulleys is like stretching a mozzie's arose over a bucket - very unlikely! (On ml)

that 2nd one is no good for the ML.
ML's don't have the 2.5l in Aus.

The ML 3.2 has 2 std type V belts for fan & another for AC

I purchased my spares before the last trip through Mitsi. Got trade price so did ok ;)
