Yeah stoked on how good they look. I love how it's all come up. New sub amd amp , clarion DVD , boost gauge , reverse camera , few other bits all done, tomorrow will be sealing Up canopy and putting it on, and start getting ready for the weekend!
Well she's all ready for the border track trip tomorrow now, will post up some pics etc as we get service! , if anyone sees us there be sure to have a chat!
Back from the border track, awesome time away, thanks to bill for coming and making the trip more fun! Also thanks to the mate with his v8 patrol that needed snatchys over hills, also drowned his car at the 4x4 park and is now very broken! Stupid Nissan crap.
g'day tuff troop looks like a good holiday not sure who's roof top tent shown in pic but how do you rate them,as opposed to a small tent or even a swag cheers whippsy
Yeah that's mine , wouldn't go a camper . After having the roof top theres no way I will go without one again. So easy to set up and take down. Rate them very highly
man that looks awesome. Did you have to reinforce the canopy to put the tent on? What type of canopy and rack system is it. I am impressed!!! Nice color too.
It's just a genuine mitsubishi canopy with the stock bars. And the bars for the roof top going across. I've had it off road many times and lots of full on trips. No issues. So yeah seems good!
Update. Bought a arb canopy today off a crashed ml glxr , will be stripping it down and putting new windows and seals in it , also painting it cyber blue , and adding some led strip lights! Also has the internal roll cage and trades rack on the top which should also fit my roof top tent too hopefully! Will do pics as I go!
Big weekend for the triton. Tonight have stripped my new canopy right down to a bare shell.. Will be spraying it in my mates booth tomorrow And fitting all brand new windows and seals and gas struts etc etc so will be like a new canopy. Will be colour coding the internal rack and top rack the same colou as my flares and other arb bar work!
All painted baking in the booth. Tomorrow Arvo will put all the new windows etc all in and put it on my triton! Then wire up all the lights and put the internal cage in and roof cage , so will have a roof basket and roof racks for sale soon if anyone is keen!
Canopy is almost back together and ready to put on the tub! Can't wait, basically everything is brand new and what isn't New has been sprayed and made Like new.
Also ordered dyneema rope And offset hawse , do I have to remove the winch to fit the rope? I hope not haha
I wouldn't think you'd need to have the bar off. Pull the old stuff off, connect the new stuff to the drum or whatever it is called and wind it in. Of course I've never actually done it

What sort of winch you got? When I changed my cable for rope I did it without taking off my bar etc. if you have access to the underside of your winch you should be fine. I also was able to turn the brake/clutch without removing the bar too!! I have the avenger kingcone, winch. Hopefully you will be right!
