Installed the front coilovers myself and a mate helped with the rear. Was a nightmare on the first coilover trying to get the lower control arm low enough. worked out a good trick and the second one was easy.
Measurements after are 600mm front and 645mm rear. After 2 weeks with the gear in and a couple trips offroad the front is 590mm and rear is still 645mm.

Inbetween all this the triton went in for its 75k service. I dont normally take it to the dealer but this time i did because Iv'e been having dramas with changing gears from 2nd to 3rd, its impossible to go straight in. Thought they might of been dificult to deal with but they gave me a call and said they have ordered some new gearbox parts and they will replace it under warranty. So shes booked in for that on the 16th of June :D . Will be a brand new car once its fixed.

Trav,

Very nice Mate... this truck of yours has come together really nice. Love the colour and wheel choice... and those Nitto's really set it off.
I really rate Nitto TrailGraplers... how have you found them so far?

Well done Mate... what is next on the agenda?
I see you mentioned a rear quarter chop... Good idea, both functionally and aesthetically.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks heaps Matty,

The gear is performing really well offroad, so smooth over big ruts and I even get more droop out of the hd leafs than before. I rate the trail grapplers so highly, such a solid tyre offroad. A bit costly on the fuel usage but that's all good. They do a 295/75/17 in the trail grapplers so I'm thinking of getting that size next, works out to be 34".

Next things on the list will be sliders, then quater chop followed by custom rear bar work. Then finish it off with some more lighting and whatever you want to sell me next

Cheers

Love the build mate ;)

How long did it take to remove the intake manifold for cleaning?
My ute has a similar number of Km's and after looking down there I can see a bit of build up so wanted to give it a good clean before blanking egr and getting a catch can.

Thanks for following mate,

Manifold wasn't to bad to take apart, the next time around I reckon I could get it out in 30mins. There is 2 nuts that were tricky right up the back towards the dash. But with the right tools it was straight forward. Longest part was cleaning it. Did that over 2 nights with a kero bath one night and then a bit of scrubbing with a bottle brush and mr muscle oven cleaner worked good.

Good luck with yours, just have a crack and take lots of photos so you remember where everything goes back.

Cheers

Thanks mate, I couldn't be any happier with the suspension and tyre setup. What size are you running now? I haven't got a certificate for anything as yet. I'll get around to it soon probably. I don't drive the car everyday so I keep forgetting about it.

Cheers

How do you with front end exposure having an xrox bar? Are your CV's getting hammered by either bush or going to taller suspension?

In the past couple of weeks i received the triton back from the dealer, got the 2nd and 3rd syncros replaced under warranty. So glad its back to normal, was really becoming a pain in the ass on the sand missing 3rd gear all the time. Feels like a brand new truck now.

Also matty from monster rides hooked me up with some nice xrox sliders and sump bash plate. I went for the more family friendly slider that is more angled down for a side step.

old stock steps off
