Decided to change Daisy's look a little this morning, after pulling the bash plates off......finally   from geraldine and seeing their condition (bare metal and starting to get surface rust) i decided to repaint them. This should also make it easier for chicky to 'spot me' on the road ;) ;)

A lot of paint, starting with a gal rust protection paint, finishing with flat black for the rear plate and gloss red for the front. Slowly starts my transition to be like Daryn.....fire engine red  8-)  now i just need the $2G for the sahara bar :?

Even my plan of painting the inside of the holes a different colour worked perfectly  :ugeek: :ugeek:

Bored while waiting for the paint to dry I decided that the shackle on the recovery hitch should match :ugeek: so strung it up and painted that too

Hmm my Sahara should be in this week :P ... try $2.6K unless you know someone and if so, why didn't you tell me?!?!?

I pulled the bash plates off last night only to find most of the nuts welded to the mounts had come away.. what was to be a 10 minute bash plate cleaning exercised turned into 2 hours.

I think I'll leave mine black ... or grey... or orange. I don't make decisions well these days.

Either way, they need painting as they are well scratched up and with surface rust.
