Too much time from the last serious mod

A column came too close to my tray when my missus came out from a parking!!!

......so the tray must be go out for work (and to cut!!),and the plans for the rear suspension change now.

what length coilover?

and are you cutting up the tub to fabricate the upper link onto a roll cage type "rally cross/ trophy truck" look, so you have ultra long coilover and travel.

12" or 14" .......no I dont want to cut the tub,as you see I fab the shock mounts below the axle and the upper tower almost will touch the tub...

Anymore than 14" and you have tailshaft issues at full down travel oike when the car is on a hoist or jumping

Might be worth converting the tailshaft to Rzeppa joints at the centre and rear, off-road racing style. They give a huge range of movement, and will take the torque.

The crossmember is the main issue not so much binding, mine had a 2 piece that i converted into a 1 piece where as the ones that have 1 piece from factory may have a different cross member?

Nope.
Only super select units get the 1 piece
The super select transfer box is longer than the easy select so no need for a 2 piece to clear the cross member.

Ml 3.2 diesel auto also was one piece even with the easy select box
