Added Security to factory hardlids?

Postby scumbag on Tue Dec 16, 2014 8:29 pm

Just wondering who else out there uses their triton for work purposes and is concerned with how easy it would be to break into the hardlid and remove all your tools.
few mates have had break ins lately and was just wondering if theres anything out on the market that could be used to beef up the locking mechanism in the hard lid to try and make it harder for a thief
any other suggestions would be welcomed, iv worked to dam hard to buy these tools in the first place to have some scumbag steal them.
im thinking along the lines of getting some solenoids that could lock into the side of the tub with some sort of locking pin type arrangement, pretty handy with electronics so that shouldnt be an issue...
any help would be great, thanks.

Have a look at these... Is this the type of thing you're looking for/thinking about?

The standard locks are a joke.

Looks like somones tried to get into one with a screw driver and the toggles are pretty light.
Don't let the b'strds get you down!!
