Looking at getting one of these bull bars. Does anyone have any pictures of this bar with a winch installed? I can't seem to find any..

Cheers

I am on my phone and don't have many decent photos of the Triton, but see how you go with these. If you need more detail of something specific, let me know and I'll take a pic ;)

I don't think there is any photos in my shed with winch installed as I haven't updated it in years, but there might be more detailed photos of the bar itself :D
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

Ah legend, thanks for that. Totally different to what I thought, although I was basing it off my brothers rodeo with the same bar.

Looking for pictures/advice as the instructions it comes with are rubbish.

In what way?

We install bullbars fairly regularly in my shop and I've never seen a set of instructions from any of the major manufacturers that wasn't reasonably complete.

If you're having problems with a particular aspect of the installation post up details and maybe pictures and I'm sure you'll get help.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Cheers mate, I think I might do that if I do end up getting stuck. The instructions are about 90% text and a couple of poorly taken photos. I guess it would understandably be easier for someone who regularly works with cars to understand what is being said but for someone like myself who isn't as proficient, pictures are a life-saver.

Cheers als1200, appreciate the effort. PM me if you'd prefer to send them via email or some other means.

The bottle goes just to the side of the battery.
Worst bit is its smaller. But it works.
Because the bar was fitted locally i didnt have to cut the bar. Im sure it comes with either a template or measurements to do it. Initially i thought the gaps were huge but with the flex of cab its good.
i removed and refitted by myself with the help of some ratchet straps. With 2 people it would be a breeze.
2 of the nuts go inside the chassis rail and are a pain in the arse. Just be patient and its fine.

als1200,
Cheers for the photo. Makes more sense now that I can see where the washer bottle is supposed to go.

The instructions come with some measurements. Not the best but they'll do.
Nice rig. The bar looks great on it. I much prefer this design over the typical post type for one reason or another.

Yeah I might have to get a mate to help me. I don't really have solid beams to hoist/ratchet the bar up over.
I might have to hit you up when I start mine in case I get stuck.
So is it just 6 bolts each side?
2 to bolt the mount to the recovery points, and 4 to bolt the bar to the mount?

Slim line plate? As in number plate?

Just the 5 per side.
its really not bad to fit. Apart from the nut with the wire....it had been trimmed after being fitted the first time.
the winch was the hardest part. From memory i had to trim the fairlead bolts to get the winch to align with the mounting holes.
Im like you. I prefered this style.
With my garage if i went with any with the any of the other designs it wouldnt fit in.

I had a re-read of the instructions and it makes a lot more sense after looking at your pictures and theirs. Hardest part will be trimming the bumper correctly.
Looks like something I could attempt even with my limited experience.
The price I was quoted (for just the bullbar) was equivalent to a lot of the other bullbars. I like how this style is a little more compact as you mentioned and is a bit more old school.

How difficult is the wiring for the indicators?
Did you have to remove the bash plate to re-install?

If it's not too much trouble, do you think you could get me a couple close ups of the following?
1) Washer bottle relocated and how it is attached/secured
2) Wheel arch liner and how far they've cut it and what they've done to secure it
3) The mounting points and the location of the bolts on the inside of the bullbar (as opposed to the outside in the picture you posted above)

Cheers mate.
