does the honeycomb grille from a MN fit a ML?

No, mn is one piece, ml honeycomb sections are two piece

Cheers mate, reckon the honeycomb looks way better then the bar grille in my ML GLX-R

ohh well less money to spend on nonsense so all good I guess

You can get mesh inserts from eBay. Look pretty trick I rekon.

Ebay grills. They are no where near as think or well constructed as the factory grill. The mounting tabs are a bit dodgy but if you fit them then leave them they are fine. Mine let go after being on the car for a few years and being taken in and out about 4 times. Tabs just let go in the in.
They are cool though. I have put mesh behind the factory ones now and its just not the same :(

There are some genuine mesh grilles around. The olympic edition had them and they do a stainless one in the UK. If you could get a part number for the olympic edition, or perhaps just the VIN from one, you might be able to order the mesh items from a dealer, if you could find a helpful one. AFAIK that will only work for the ML though as the MN they moved to what seems to be a one piece. I say seems because the honeycomb bits look like you could remove them once you pull the whole thing out.
