New MQ/MR Price paid?

Anything Triton 2016+ related

Wow! Sounds too good to true.

Dealer must have known known there was lots of change under the back seat or drugs hidden in the doors.

The only two cars I ever came out in front were my old Morry 1100, doubled the buy price and my old VWT4 twin cab, which gave me change of $6k after payout.

I nearly fell outa my chair... but i had put a lot of time and effort into it... and $$ and 55k on the clock..... even the principal dealer drove it with around 500kg of tools and accessories and he said how impressed he was with the power and handling..... maybe i should keep it??

. Too late now... guess i got a new triton to build up..... :)

I presume all the accesories dont impact on the warranty? just wondered how it works with aftermarket stuff.

Hi Murwillumbah,

I spoke with the dealer prior to pickup about this, and they advised that obviously they don't offer warranty on aftermarket gear, but it will still cover items not directly affected by the installing of aftermarket gear.

I guess dealers will always try and blame an issue on anything they can to prevent it being under warranty, so who knows! This is the first new car I have ever owned, let alone modified.

You may have to wait on others to respond about aftermarket gear and it's impact on warranty!

Hey guys just joined since I just signed for a GLS today.

The wife thinks I got dudded on this deal so i would love some feedback.

2015 GLS Auto
Titanium grey
No extras
Brand spanking new.

Traded in an 08 Ford Focus with 60k on the clock. Mechanically
Very good but interior is rough and the exterior just as bad as always parked outside.
Also had huge key scratch from rear to front and a rear 1/4 panel damage.

$35,500 drive away.

We haggled for a week with various inspections on the focus.
Went from $37k first (with trade)
To $36.5 then down to $36k. I played hard ball and got a phone call before close of trade (30mins)
They will do 35.5k which I said good enough. Wife thinks we could have got better but looking through this thread I think we went well.

Depends how much Focus is.

I paid deposit today 41,000 driveway

I tried multiple dealers and this dealer was the only one to meet my price demands.

Triton GLS 4x4 dual cab
Titanium Grey
Extras;
Soft torneu
Tub liner

2016 compliance plated. Best deal I got. The others were selling me older compliance plated cars (ie July or sept 2015) with no extra for 39,900.

To be honest we would have struggled to sell it privately for $6,000
Deep key scratch that's won't be fixed by cut and polish and rear 1/4 panel damage.
Interior seats are very poor. They got it with 2 weeks rego left on it. Oh but they got new hub caps!

I pick up the Triton on Thursday. Can't wait.

Sounds like a good deal then.

I'm in Melb. Pick up mine in 2 weeks.
I'm upgrading from a Ss Crewman Thunder, so I'm looking forward to ditching the old 6.0 Lt petrol guzzler.

Has anybody in Melbourne/Vic bought a 2015 runout triton recently. Dealers have GLS auto's as unregistered demos for $38,990 da. It looks like a good deal, and they say they won't budge at all on price.

That's a good price - check your build date, try get the latest 2015 as possible. I just picked up my Nov built, Jan 2016 compl plated GLS auto for 39,990 with rego. I added a tub liner and tonneau cover. Driveway 40,990.
The MitsubishI dealerahip in Fotscray are always flogging them cheap too
I know I could have saved about $300 if I installed those items myself, but my time is limited at this present time.
Got mine from Neil Beer Seymour. They are always trying to compete with the city dealers on price and servicing. 50min drive from Bundoora.
Good luck.
