Auto
Twin a/c
Heated seats
Rear diff lock

I found out the hard way that a wife, kid, pram and assorted nonsense don't reallly fit in a grand vitara, not when you want to go touring. Bought the paj in May.

Damn, alloys and a reverse camera would have been nice additions to the GLX. In daylight, you can't actually read the stereo display on the GLX 60% of the time, so a better head unit would have been appreciated and saved me the hassle of a future replacement.

I've read the recent reviews and I think they are mostly indicative of how close the competition in the segment is getting. The Triton goes great and other than the slightly fidgety ride, I'm really happy with it.

MQ Exceed (new)

Tow kit 800 (Mitsubishi option)
Tub liner 400 (Mitsubishi option)
Canopy 2900 lift up windows (Mitsubishi option)
Metallic paint 550
Roof Racks 600 (Mitsubishi option)
Window tint 495
Total of above options 5745

Drive away $52495
If I remove all above options, my Triton Exceed on road price is $46,750.
I was OK with this, didn’t pay RRP, got some discount and probably a reasonable fair “street price”.
As the above options prices are 3 months old, they may be different to now.

Presently advertised RRP drive away of the Exceed on Mitsubishi website is $49990, down from $51000 a little while ago.

I have provided cost breakdown to assist other people seeking best prices, and hope you achieve better than me!!

Go to at least 2 or 3 Triton dealers if you can, meet the sales rep, and then phone/email the rep specify which vehicle and options you want, and most definitely advise you are seeking prices from other dealers and ask for their best priced quote up front.

Fyi, the reverse camera setup on the glx is pretty crappy. Uses a mirror with a small screen in it

Yeah I'm looking to buy a new GLS auto and although I have not got a good deal on my Pajero '02 (190K) in part ex, the actual price I am working with is good BUT I have told them I am going to go to another dealer tomorrow and I will also say the same to them and hopefully get the deal I want to buy tomorrow or Monday.

So far I'm at 3800 for my car and 37,000 cash for a White, Auto GLS with Mats and full tank.

Let you know how it goes tomorrow....

3800 for the Pajero sounds low, im sure you would get a lot more private, is it petrol or diesel?

Cheers. Petrol and that's the deal breaker. Great car but trade in saves dealing with tyre kickers and low ballers.

I signed today for 36k plus the car. Triton was listed as 39750. No mats or fuel in the deal. I'm happy with the deal. When I looked at them a few months ago they were 46k

White
GLS

Wow! Sounds too good to true.

Dealer must have known known there was lots of change under the back seat or drugs hidden in the doors.

The only two cars I ever came out in front were my old Morry 1100, doubled the buy price and my old VWT4 twin cab, which gave me change of $6k after payout.
