Just nudging 45k in 18 months

Mines a MY17 impulse blue GLS manual and it's been spot on. No rattles no squeaks. I have a provent catch can and a second fuel filter as well.
It does a fair bit of towing of our Jayco flamingo outback and hauls it really well.

Little dissapointed in the quality of the paint. Feels like chips when you look at it.

Overall really happy with it. Comfortable great on diesel and has plenty of go for what it is.

What sort of kms did you get from the factory tyres.

Just had the front pads replaced yet on mob I've beek to say the rears are at 20% and where I got the fronts done say the rears will last nearly as long as another set of fronts.
Has anyone else had to replace rear brakes at similar kms yet?

I changed my rear shoes at 180,000kms and they still had enough material for about 20,000kms or more I reckon. However, we always carry heavy loads. Had to get them from the dealers as no one else had them in stock or in their product catalogue at that time.

Same here, 2017 GLX. Far worse in low range too, sounds/feels like you’re doing damage!

However, I do around 6k kms a month, so it will see a lot of kms. I'll keep you boys updated on the forum. I am starting to get used to the turbo lag also. Mine is a 2.4L diesel auto. I have booked it in for the first inspection next Saturday.

When did you first change your engine oil? I am thinking of running dumping the original oil at around 3000kms and replacing it with Penrite fully synthetic DL-1.

Cheers.

Quite sure the oil is supposed to do its running in thing before changing so the pistons bed in correctly, changing too soon may inhibit this and detract from long term economy etc..

GLX+ 2017 MY18 spec .50000 ks ,a lot towing a caravan . Had 3rd gear replaced as jumping out of gear , apart for paying way to much for Mitsubishi services all good . But will add that you can frighten a Triton , just tow a caravan and watch as it arse falls out .

just hit 12 months old
68,000kms
onto my 3rd set of tyres, the roads I'm driving on are harsh on the rubber.

km03 muds got 38,000 but should have been replaced before that

not too bad a run out of the goodyear duratrack but looking like they will also be lucky to see 40,000
Getting Out There
Sucks to be you, glad I bought a 3.2 :o

At 255,000kms now. Still runs very strong. Interested to see how many kms I'd get out of it. Only repair/replacement so far has been the aircon compressor which packed up just before it's 255k service. No biggie, got a second hand one for $195 from wreckers and $70 regas and she is back to work again. Very impressed with the Tritons reliability.

Just ticked over 30,000km and it's at the dealer today having its second service. The capped price servicing is $530 which i'm super pissed about because i've noticed the MY19 MR is capped at $199! The MY17 is $450. I wonder why there's such a massive difference when it's the same motor and driveline??

I'll ask the question today when i pick it up.

FYI the service centre manager couldn't answer my question. He tried to say they're different cars, i told him he was wrong. I probably won't be servicing at the dealer from now on, especially considering he showed me the 45k service being $680 and then the 60k service $1,200.

Dealer prices are complete BS. I wouldn't take it to the dealer. If you have a good mechanic with a good scan tool, they can perform everything that the dealer would do at each service. Just put in the recommended oil and change oil based on the type of use rather than the kms/duration. Owners manual have more details on this.
