AFN Bullbar

Postby Chriscgls on Wed Aug 17, 2016 2:28 pm

Hi Guys,

I just bought MQ Gls, and happy with it, i am actually pretty keen on getting an AFN bullbar as i like the look,

No shop not can tell me the added length the to ute though as no one seems to have fitted one or have one in stock to measure

Does anybody here have an AFN bar on? if you do can you please measure

In my garage i have about 130mm of length left for a bar and no surprise almost everything even the nudge bars are 140+++

Cheers!

I was quoted 2250 plus fitting

Plus extra for paint if you want matched..

I like the sleek design, interested to know if anyone has tried one

A guy at work has one on his Dmax. I just couldn't fall in love with the Triton design. I have the TJM outback bar on mine which IMO is more solid looking. I suspect the TJM bar would extend much further out the front and it doesn't hug the front of the car like the AFN. I worry the AFN wouldn't offer me enough protection if I hit a roo but it'd be better than a stock bumper.

If you are in Queensland, speak to the guys at Wolf4x4 at North Lakes. http://www.wolf4x4.com.au/
Also check out their Facebook page. They actually had a decked out AFN demo MQ Triton. It was for sale at a dealer on carsales.com.au only a month or two ago.

Thanks for the replys, the tjm is 210mm odd which is a fair bit, but like you say that I'm sure provides extra impact zone

My last hope is the afn as nothing fits in garage haha

That one on carsales actually got me geed for tritons and the bar in general haha

Hey Chris, just had my fan bull bar put on this week,

a bit late to the party but I did measure and if you were to mount the number plate differently on the front it measures out 130 from the Mitsubishi emblem, but if you leave the number plate holder on the bar as they install it its 140mm.

Hopefully this helps.

The bar looks great though.
