Front seat spacers

Postby Dilligara on Wed Oct 26, 2016 4:29 am

I have an MN and I put the spacers on the front seat, made a massive difference. Looking at getting an MQ, can any owners tell me whether the MQ would benefit from the front seat forward spacers and if so do the MN ones I have fit the MQ

No idea if the spacers fit from the Mn but do know the Mq seats have been revised by Mitsubishi and are way more comfortable anyway. Gls has good thigh support, guessing the exceed would as well. Only way to tell if you need them would be take one for a test drive and have a play with seat adjustment.

If your planning on trading the Mn you could hang on to the spacers just in case. Pretty sure the dealers wouldn't sell the car on with them in

Quick skip through the latest Delivery magazine yesterday suggested seats in Triton were better than the Fraud & Amarok, so may not need further work, esp if it has a height adjuster built in.

Tri also had better ride and steering than the Ranger.

Seat spacers where for the ML and early MN models that didn't have adjustable lumber support, not required in the MQ.

How early MN? I got the twisty thing that cranks my seat up, is that what you are referring to by "Lumber support" 2013 MN GLX-R.

Doesn't matter Jacobie. Even the MN seats with the factory height adjuster benefit from the seat spacers.

But we're getting a bit OT here. This thread is about the MQ, which, from all reports, doesn't need them.

Yep, My MN had the height adjuster but the spacers lifted the front of the seat up which made a massive comfort difference

Hi all
Where would you get the spacers from? I am very interested. Being a tall person, the seats in the car are not comfortable and I do struggle when driving long distances.
cheers all

The forum software prevents members who have not reached a minimum number of posts from sending PMs. This is to stop spammers but may be working in this case.

Monaro03, I've sent kwikfab a PM telling him that you want to contact him. He can PM you and then you can reply.

Ive read through the post what versions of the spacers are available. Trying to get a few options before modding the seats.

The question is in the first sentence. Well, should have been two sentences, but apparently punctuation is optional and we should know what he's saying.
