Great unit and very happy with it, decent aerial makes a big difference JUST BOUGHT THE GME AE4705. SHOULD BE PRETTY DAMN GOOD- I HOPE
Sound quality is quite good (you can hear pretty clearly in my vids) and I like the neatness of the install as my head unit is hidden under dash. Having all functions on the mic, imho, makes life a lot easier and simpler. Don't have to reach across to change channel/volume etc. AGREED MATE!
I've had mine for over a year and no issues. Would happily recommend

At moment tossing up between:
ICom IC 440
http://www.radioparts.com.au/ProdView.a ... +12V%2f24V
GME TX3540
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280831714063 ... 1423.l2649
and Uniden UH7760NB
http://www.gadgetcity.com.au/uniden-uh7 ... =92_36_113
Uniden heaps cheaper...
Intersted in any ideas on sound quality/ unit quality/ features/longevity etc...
Think I like the Icom but never heard them in use. I want a clear sound. My base model GME sounds a little tinny and hard to understand others sometimes.... or is it me getting older
