Started working on some draws for the rig before I headed to Straddie. They are far from finished but coming together nicely. Dads a builder and sadly few of his skills have been passed to me. I even had my manual arts teacher in grade 9 say "your dads the builder isn't he? He'll be bloody disappointed with this!". So the carpentary isn't super tidy but its doing the job. Its modular at present but will ultimately be two main pieces. One will be a permanent fixture, the other will be in the car the majority of the time but wont be bolted down. The idea is to have the back of the rig as a quick and easy base camp for weekends away. Am trying to have it so everything has its spot. Should be good for the trip up the cape when it eventually happens.
So, in pieces, you have the main part with fridge box.

100mm all round with venting. The compressor is up front too so starving the fridge of air shouldn't be a problem.
2nd main part stays in the car permanetly and is the water tank holder. This took me ages to sort out. Wanted the TREDs to sit above it. They fit but the canopy doors are too low to get them out so modified it to take the highlift instead. Few other nooks and crannys for pegs or the oldest boys cricket set.

The fridge box has a draw next to it with a slide out shelf under that will have a stainless steel bunch for food prep etc.

How it all fits together with the helper testing if the draw slides are heavy duty ones.
Watertank section in the car.
Still pleanty of room.
All togeather.
Also have a little tigerz11 awning set up for coverage when using the space. Gas struts are awesome
The setup im after, well an idea of it anyway.
The highlift in its place.
So as stated still a way to go but I'm happy with how is coming together.
