285/75r16 Spare tire and rear bar

Postby mc.crackel on Fri Jan 03, 2014 11:02 pm

Hi guys I have spent weeks reading through the forums and feel I have a pretty good idea of what I want to achieve with my ML. I've read 33" tires won't fit back under the tub.

So my question is do they fit with an ARB rear bar or other bar, is there any other mods you can do to make them fit and if not where do you keep your spares?

Yeah it's not so much length but width between the springs on one side and exhaust on the other. Not impossible by any means.

Mine 33" fitted by cutting and re welding the exhaust a little. Best $20 spent

Mate I have an ARB rear bar and 33 inch spare. I fit the spare in the standard position flat. Gives you that little bit more room, no modifications needed. Just pump up with on board compressor if needed.
