Putting off 15000km service slightly

Postby timoss on Thu Oct 09, 2014 8:42 am

Hi All,

I own a 2013 MN GLX Triton. This is now due for its 15000km service and the odometer currently sits at 15700kms.

My question is due to starting a new job later this month which includes a vehicle allowance can I wait to service the car in late october at around 18000kms max without voiding warranty? Reason is I want to claim the service on the allowance for tax purposes.

The car has had an oil change at 7500kms also but no filter change as yet.

Regards
Tim

any excuse to deny a claim if you get a problem, depends on your dealer but they can use the lack of service as an excuse

Give your local stealer a call, I would not think that it is a major issue, maybe they have another way around it for you ?

As Above ask the Dealer doing the services. Get it in writing.

I can just see the argument. But a random post on the internet said it would be ok.

My dealer told me once that I should be fine if I am within 1000kms off. To my knowledge as soon as you're over the mark you'll also lose your road side assist for the period.

You own an approx 30k car and you are going to delay a service for a few $100.....not a good idea

Why bother it's only couple of hundred bucks. Small price to pay if voids warranty.?
