What are the defects?
The driver’s side airbag inflator may release metallic fragments from the inflator container when the airbag deploys.
What are the hazards?
In the event of an incident that deploys the drivers’ side airbag, the airbag inflator may release metallic fragments and these metallic fragments may injure the vehicle occupants.
What should consumers do?
Mitsubishi Motors Australia will contact all known owners by mail as soon as parts become available to present their vehicle to their preferred Mitsubishi Motors Dealer for inspection/replacement of the Driver Side airbag inflator at no charge.
Consumers who require further information should contact Mitsubishi Motors Australia on 1300 13 12 11.
