Postby RosliKOOGA on Sun Aug 23, 2009 12:08 pm

Hello All ,

My name is ROSLI ...I just join in this group..
Currently I am living in a town called Kemaman, here in the state of Terengganu , Malaysia.
I am a father of 2 - oldest is a boy and youngest is a girl.
I owned an AUTO L200 Triton and it has already been 1 1/2 years with me now.
Sure hope that we can swap ideas on " technical how to" and others ..

Cheers

welcome mate. nice truck - looks like she gets some use too. :D
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

Hello again,

The rims are modified from old Isuzu Trooper , where we cut them into two and weld back togather after we reposition them to be offset.
Even the side step is home made - did them with my mates over here .
Mostly what we do here is gather ideas on what best modification to be done to our trucks ..
I joined an a 4wd adventure club here in my hometown...our trucks is made of Triton, Toyota Vigos, Pajero, Jimny , Vitaras , the older L200 ( here we called them Mitsubishi Storm )...
Look at the sticker at my truck - C.A.T whic stand for Chukai Adventure Team .
Through this club that we organize off road trip / fishing trip / night hunting and etc ..

Anyway ..nice to hear from you lots from Down under ..

Cheers

Hi Rosli,

how does the Triton go against the other brands ?

I wish we had an adventure club. I am jealous.

Good day Mate!!!

As for the triton performance compared with others ..I can say that all the new cars is performing well compared with the others old car ..even the auto is as good as the manual when tackling all the hill climbs and descent..maybe the new auto truck has been re- engineered and re- design ...and perhaps because of the common rail engines ...who knows?
But that is not the issue here ..because we only want to have fun off roading and also sharpen our off roading skills and technique ...is not correct mate ?

Hello Daryn,

Before I did any modification to the truck , my diesel consumption is around 8-9 ltr / 100 km..I used the truck to go to work ...I am working as industrial parts sales engineer ...the farthest I travel is about 130 - 150 km. Average we can say that I travel 120 km / day ...I did only 80 - 90 km/hr ...no need to rush here mate.

Then I did my modification - heavy duty side step , roof rack , bigger tyres and etc ...but I did install one unit of common rail tuning kit - Typhoon from Thailand - pre program for triton 2.5 l ...
I expect that the consumption will be more since I already added extra weight here and there ...but to my surprise ..the new consumption is about 9- 11 ltr / 100 km ...not really a big jump here ...

I am looking to install a diff locker for my rear axle ....I believe the model is either RD46 or RD145 ( ARB) ...try to get it here in Malaysia but still to no success ...
Would it be alright with you guys...if i bought the whole set from you guys and have it shipped to Malaysia ..
Of course , I am willing to pay for the unit and also the delivery charges ...How about that mates ?

Salam

This is my brother inlaw who happen to follow me off roading one day and we got stuck..

So you have the 2.5l motor ? I thought you may have had the 3.2l considering it is an 2008 model.

You may want to talk with MonsterTriton on this forum as he is in Thailand I think and may be in a better position to help you out with the Diff Lock, I know your in Malaysia but at least Thailand is closer, I think!
