I dont have a real problem with the seats and i have NO suspension! Other then they dont hold you in when cornering hard. My passenger though complains. Is there a difference between the seats?

did3.2,

do you reckon you could make the thread extenders about 15mm long instead of 25mm?

As my wife is very short when she pulls the seat right forward to drive she is now a full inch higher and reckons she can't reach the pedals without her legs being too hard against the front of the seat!

i was wondering if 15mm is possible it might be a better compromise.

snowman,
Will have to look into this as the min length will be determined by the original stud length to a degree. Will let you know.
Should be able to shorten them up a bit but not sure about the 15mm.
Will get back to you on this.
Cheers.

:D :D :D :D :D maybe!

mind you different spacers = $40
Recaro seats = $4000
new car = $40,000
New wife = $400,000

so i'll work my way down the list before going straight to the bottom.

although looking is half the fun as i just stated in another post......damn where do i find THOSE expensive new accessories????

i was mumbling 'try before you buy' as finishing this post - missus walks past shaking her head....."idiot"

.....oh and something about $400,000 being 'cheap' ! :o :o

Hey Saurus this is the set I got from DID :D What it doesn't show properly is the threaded hole in the base that screws onto the original seat mount studs.

Ahh found another one. This one shows the hole:

Looks like the shortest would be about the 20mm mark, give or take a little.
I made up a set of 20's today and it looks about the shortest possible. I could go lower in the extender but you would end up putting washers under it to pack out the shorter thread. No real gain!!
May be able to get it to 18 or so but will need to make further measurements.
PM me if you want me to keep looking into it.
Cheers.

Nah...sorry but the seats are rubbish for a proper sized Australian gentleman. They need work.
I am doing my bit for the Tritons reputation by working on my "arse groove" in the drivers seat of my new Triton. It took me 15 years to get the groove correct in my old Bravo. When I traded it in for the Triton I told the salesman that the groove must at least add $2000 on top of the trade.
I was disheartened to be told that the groove does not add value to an old car.
Pity.

Many thanks DID 3.2, the seat raises fitted with no problems and could feel the diffrence in the thigh area as soon as I sat in the seat. I just need to go for a long drive and make my final adjustments. Great work.
