Super Select 4WD....

Postby Mantis on Thu Jul 31, 2008 3:34 am

I know there was talk on here about that new GLS coming out in September that has Super Select,

Anway,

I was just on the Mitsu site and was checking out the Specs of the latest Tritons, and noticed that all VR, GLX-R, and GLS get Super Select now..

Is this news to anyone else or should I get back under my rock??

My Bro in law just picked up his VR yesterday so when I get a chance I'll suss it out, his was built June 08 and is the latest model with Cruise Control..

I'll keep you all posted, oh and pics of our two trucks will be up soon once he gets some goodies fitted...

Super Select 4WD....

Just got a text message from my bro in law, he just back into a concrete post and dented his tailgate, GOD DAMMIT not even 24 hours old...

If it was delivered with the rear step towbar it wouldn't of happened but there is none in the country so he had to wait till the end of August...

Super Select 4WD....

Man I hope the bad luck doesn't happen to mine.
I pick it up this afternoon (after waiting 2 months) BUT it still doesn't have the rear bar or snorkel.

Apparently my bar is off the production line but will take a week to get painted and delivered, snorkel is not even made yet (scheduled on 8th August?)

I've decided to pick the vehicle up early as I cannot continue to wait.

Just have to be especially careful.

Time for a QLD gathering/ when I get the rear bar ;)

Enjoy the new beast 4wd26. Pity it didn't all come together for you. Must have seemed like you were waiting an era. Now is a good time to get aquainted with the rear bar and snorkel supplier (I assume ARB) and start the chasing. Dealers are hopeless (at least in my experience) at chasing anything post delivery.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

I'm not going to bother chasing- just wait until the first service (1500kms) about 3 weeks and all should be ready.

At least thats the plan

Bad news, as far as I'm aware, the My09 diesel model is the only one getting super select.
Maybe the MY09 petrol will also? but that won't be out until around Nov/Dec and there's no scope for it at the moment.
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.
