I have a McNallyelectronics combo Boost and EGT.

http://shop.mcnallyelectronics.com/cate ... tegoryId=5

They can be found in Blue for ML and red for MN. Has memory for peak readings that can be displayed after a run. very good quality piece of kit. 8-) Chip It are now developing these as part of their kit for the future. Be a wile off (Has expansion connectivity)

I run a VDO-Continental pyro. Not as flash as a McNally, purely analogue display, which I prefer.

Around the $220 mark on Ebay, but make sure it is provided with the genuine VDO thermocouple probe as some are sold with crappy open tip probes. These tend to fail after a couple of months.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they do have some damned good ideas.

If it's feral, it's in peril.

MN turbo lag? What lag??

I've got a McNally same as Tony on order.

Been waiting for it for a while now. Whilst it's a good product, it's taking ages to get here from the US...

Hi Guys, after searching thought i might as well bring up an old thread. i have finally recieved my McNally gauge :D and just need to work out where/how to fit it.

what type and size of hose do i need for the boost side of things?

with the pyro, is the brass coupling that came in the box a compression type fitting that needs to "crush" fit (for want of a better word). are you supposed to put any type of sealant there? im assuming not, just want to be sure.

cheers

I'm surprised it didn't come with any hose for the boost. Just get it the same size as what is on the MAP line already (5mm from memory....?).

I have the Racetec gauges in red to match the MN instruments. They come in blue for the ML's too.
Very good quality gauges for about 150 each I think. Egt can be set to alarm at what ever temp you want and will start flashing. 8-) CLICKY ON IMAGE ;)

Hi Chris
Any suitable size pvc, silicone or rubber vacuum hose from your local auto parts place will do for the boost gauge and no need for sealant on your egt probe thread, this is a tapered thread. ;)

Hi SRB, i was talking more about the part where the probe inserts into the fitting. (i think thats where it goes) the probe itself isnt threaded, so im assuming that it is inserted into the brass coupling and tightened up to FT? i just dont want to squash/kink the probe (wouldnt think its possible but just incase)

the car goes to ARB tomorrow for bullbar fitment, so ill hopefully get to have a play with it over the weekend.
