Hey rick,

I put those on mine early last month as mentioned in the thread above. I have mine recessed into the bumper itself though. I bolted mine to the body behind the plastic bumper.

Cheers,

Grant

handy, but my plastic bits are sitting in the shed after deciding they would rather be sitting in a creek than on the back of my ute

Photo reminds me of how low the towbar normally sits - mines now got the rear bumper removed, & towbar modded to sit level with lower edge of number plate.........;) ;)
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

I got mine from TRIGLXR and they are great! Have a look at my profile for pics! They are pretty easy to wire up, and took around 45mins all up...imcluding cutting holes and running wires!

Did anyone wire up to the reverse circuit or did you put on a separate line?

mam I did the same bought 2 55watt lights from Supercheap & wired it up into a switch inside the cabin so that I can turn them on at any time.

Allup cost lights $30. Wire, Switch & relay $20.

What size are the lights from supercheap. the two stores near me don't stock anything that size so I'll have to get them to order in.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

Be carfeul when wiring up reversing lights as there are laws that need to be followed.
This has been discussed on 4wd monthly forum.
they have to be wired in to the reversing circuit and if you want a manual switch it can not be in the cabin/reached of the driver.
Not sure if this all states as alot of the blokes on 4wd monthly were from Qld and they are having a big crack down on vehicle modifications.

Most were wiring with a double switching relay.
One side of the relay was wired to the reversing circuit so when in reverse they come on automatically and then run a seperate power supply with a switch in the back of car to the second side of the relay.

greedy not sure I put them on ages ago. They are oval in shape SCA brand & cost $29-95 so they should know what item it is.

I will check their site & let you know.

i wired mine up exactly as king triton said, except i put a switch in the dash.

they come on via a relay when reverse is engaged, and i ran a completly different circuit so just the extra reverse spotties would come on when i hit the switch.
