Hey there thought people may be interested in how to install a ironman Commerical Bullbar. It's a great bar and a great price just have to fit the driving light Pods when they come in and color code at the same time. Scary Part cutting factory bumper. in the end wasn't to bad.The finished job looks great i'm very happy with it even more when i finish off the winch and install some lightforce driving lights. I would recommend the bar. It cost only $895 from everything 4wd.

Nah everything 4wd don't do any fitting.
Nah mate i have no problems helping you out it easy once you done one takes about 4 hours maybe a little longer. just let me know when you wanting to do it.
I know ironman has 15 bars in stock. It cost me $895 for the bar and $650 for the winch.

Nice job Silver - you did a very good job.

Got a local mob here to fit my Ironman commercial bar and I'm very happy with it. Bar sits nicely on the front and looks and feels like a very sturdy piece of gear. In your opinion Silver, is it a big hassle to retrofit a winch behind these bars? Looks like a big job from what I can see - wish you could just get 'em in from underneath!!!

Wish I could say I was as happy with the supposed 2" lift Ironman "performance" suspension kit I had fitted at the same time. By my calculations the lift is about 3/4 of an inch, and while it's taken some of the sloppy roll out of the truck on corners, they're a rubbish-feeling shocky. Corrugation and hole impacts feel like they were handled better with the stock suspension to me.

Hey there BlinkyBuoy i don't think there would much of a problem fitting a winch from underneath just more work. It would be easier just to undo the 6 bolts holding the bar to the mounting brackets.

When did you get the suspension fitted? if it was lately then thats the reason why you only had such a small lift as when i was looking at getting my bar ironman told me that the lifts for manuals where only low due to the vibration problems when lifted.

good idea ending up with 15mm clearance on the flares-ive got an ironman on the front, and 1st decent whack i gave it resulted in the flares hanging off. it was fitted before i picked it up (by ironman in Clayton), id i has my way i would have told them to leave some slack.

The Ironman bar looks similar to the ARB one, but the mounting system for both the winch and the bar itself is totally different.
I seem to remember the ARB bar mounting system had some more brackets that were a PITA to fit, the Ironman looks much easier and straight forward to fit.

The angles on the coverplates under the wings of the bar (that protect the bottom of the windscreen washer bottle) look much better than the ARB bar! Though it looks like you had to remove the factory washer bottle ?? Am I right? If so, how big was the replacement?

hey there jop how the bar seats depends on where you cut the bar as behind the number plate on the standard bumper there is 2 bolts which hold it in place. I left a slight gap between the factory bumper and bullbar for flex. Your bar seems to seat more forward then mind.

Macdom, not really, when you get it fitted make sure it sits back a little bit further than mine and you won't have any reflection at all
