Different leaf springs?

Different leaf springs?

Postby puk on Mon Jan 20, 2014 11:33 am

Hi all,
Just curious,
I swapped out my very sagged leaf springs from a 2010 dual cab mn diesel (165,000klm), for some that I got from Bogor (thanks again) that were only 10, 000 klms old.

when I swapped them over, I noticed that the old ones had an extra "load leaf" on the bottom than the newer ones I put in.

Now I don't know which is older in terms of year, and was just wondering what the difference would be?

Incidentally, the ones I got from Bogor, with one less load leaf, seemed heavier to carry than the ones I took out.

Any thoughts?

I think cab chassis and some glx models come with factory HD rear suspension... I know mine did... But was crap and only took 10k to sag. Anyway I think that's the difference mate... So you're probably worse off now as it will probably sag more... Unless the leads you put in were after market and good quality?

It was touted as "Sports Suspension" on the VR, GLX-R and GLS.

Ahh, crap. They are not sagged, but weaker springs.
Looks like i am saving for ultimate hd springs in factory height.
