Had the car since january, problem started after the 30k service and sql, now has 38k. Happy to do myself if I know what I'm looking at or for.
Will try the fuel conditioner, any particular recomendationd?
Much appreciated

Thanks, will give it a try. Was chipped/exhausted/blanked at 20k km, was absolutely fine until the valves/manifold/sql was done at 30k, have heard chips can cause premature sticking of scv, will try the fuel additive over the weekend, then take out the blank.
Once again, thanks all for the replies. Will work through all suggestions and let ya know how I go. Fingers crossed!

I'd try taking the blank plate out first. When blanked some MN's will surge under those conditions you've described.
biggibbo wrote:I have just replaced my blank with an alternative and my surging at those conditions you describe has disappeared. The SCV did not help in my case.

You will need to become a platinum subscriber to get the details.

I installed it myself and haven't had a problem since.
I figured if I wasn't happy after the install I could take it into Mitsubishi and get a SQL done.
Just out of interest what symptoms are you showing?

Symptoms:
While driving between 2000-2800rpm. (approximately) revs are sort of pulsing and engine is making this funny noise whroom,whroom,whroom...,and then engine light usually goes on. Is not happening all the time, but often enough to make me go crazy!!!
