Very practical thinking I'd say. :lol

One of my school SRB, I like it 8-) 8-)

I have done similar in the past, looking at their faces after telling you white lies is very rewarding.

Good out come in the end. 8-)

I hear you on some dealers, I wont ever go near the local again either. Two refused warranty claims (Since resolved by me and MMA) three times they damaged my vehicle ( Dash, body and canopy) and wont accept liability even when I have pics for proof. Sigh, I leave this here.

I use a good mechanic for all the work I cant do my self and only take it to dealers for warranty issues should they arise. Have found a good dealer in Sydney thankfully.
Long as the work is done by a licensed mechanic, use genuine filters and book is stamped your warranty is valid even with modifications done.
I'll do a detailed speal on this topic soon. ;)

Their road side is not worth pissing on any way, as subbed out to NRMA who will send you a nice bill if via a dealer if the "dealer" cant replicate the fault  Happened to me twice.

Better off using your own preferred road side assistance out here.

Good work SRB !!! sometimes you have to show them how wrong they are. I have worked for dealers (trucks and cat equipment) and i am shocked that your dealer allowed this to go on for so long. It would have been so much easier to do it right first time and keep everybody happy. Sometimes the mind boggles on what is happening inside their narrow minds when they keep buggerising around a customer. Who the hell do they think is keeping them employed ??? no customers = no business.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I just had a quick read of the entire thread. What a joke.
How about a name and shame. I can't see an issue with that if it is factual.

Coincidence?

I'm glad you have had it resolved.
If these dealers relised if they provided good service they would actually get more customers and then may sell them their next new car.

I think a well written letter to the Dealer Principal explaining the full story might get a few arse's kicked too. I would think the person paying the bills would like to know what lack of service his staff are offering. :o

Seems to me they get a pat on the back for trying to keep cost to a minimum. ;) get away with it 90% so the other 10% worth the risk.

Yeah when i called MMA they said to talk to the dealer principal, so yes i will be writing nice little letter explaining what took place. Will be interesting. As for name and shame? Is this allowed? I will if nobody has a problem with that? ;)

I think you'll find there's a rule against it somewhere.
