Good to hear mate! Lee is a top bloke and nothing is too much trouble! It is worth the drive across town to have it serviced there.

You qlder's are lucky bastards! Good to hear there is a dealer out there looking after their customers... The way it should be. I am sure they appreciate the deserved extra business too.

They have had quite a lot of business from us too. And the service manager rattled off the names of all the guys off this site who he had seen recently (at least half a dozen of us).

You know your in a good place when you ask the service manager how the rear brake shoes are and he replys "yours were fine, no where near as bad as Fridgie's. I have some of his sitting on my fridge in there"

sounds like the only problem with Lee and Eagers is the damn queue you will have to get in for the service. if you live in brisbane and you dont go thre you are probably mad.

us NSW guys may have to get a group buy together to try and lure him south.............

stories like these in sydney dealers are nothing but fairytale.

I think I remember someone saying ...yeah, yeah, big deal, save a few bucks - with a smilie like this  at one point when I mentioned this service centre :P

Can't remember who it was now ;)

And yes I'm taking the conversation out of context, but if the media can do it to taint a story then....

Well you can put down another member on the (happy with the eagers newstead team),
Got my 60k done today and find it a different car to drive. Just feels more solid to drive around. Was extremely happy with the service they offered.
Dropped off yesterday and was offered the tradie triton for the time needed.
They freighted a new harmonic balancer as mine was stuffed. ( i thought it was just the ac fan belt )
When i picked it up today i got to meet Lee and was impressed with his genuine interest in our vehicals.
It was well worth me travelling a few klms for this kind of service and they can book me in advance for my 75k :P

After reading the comments and recommendations in this thread I dropped off the Triton for its 90k service this morning. Lee greeted me as I was getting out of the Triton and was more than happy to do some extra's (fit the fumoto oil value - too lazy to have done it myself  ) check the intake manifold, scv etc.

Can't wait to pick it up this afternoon, hopefully it will be like a new car, so far very impressed with the service.

I picked up the Triton this arvo and wow it feels like a completely different car, the drive home in Brisbane peak hour traffic was almost a pleasure. Turns out my SCV was buggered and it was replaced under waranty no questions or drama's. Lee was fantastic to deal with, I wish I could get customer service like this from all businesses.

So if your in the greater Brisbane area and your looking for a dealer service or repairs I would recommend you take your business to Lee @ Newstead Mitsi.

aaaaand another great review for Lee and Eagers Newstead. Lee had the ute booked in for 30k service within a couple of days to ensure we could get a loan car - service, price, everything seemed like a whole new level above what we were used to with the other Mitsu service centres (well... service centres in general).

Lee ran the new software update to try to stop the smoke, power/highway surging issue - seemed to fix the smoke but not the power/surging, so I'll be back to see what else he has up his sleeve for the next service

Well just booked mine in with Eagers Newstead too for the 45k service. It was opportune that I saw this thread as I didn't want to take mine back to the clowns that I have gone to before. Word of mouth is a powerful recommendation and going on your recommendations is good enough for me. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very knowledgable and friendly. Always a good start. Let you know how mine comes out of there at the end of the week because it couldn't be running any worse then it ever has at the moment. Cheers for the recommendation guys.

Just to throw it out there for the little state.
Dropped mine at the Hobart dealer today, for a SCV problem, called me half way through the day to say its gonna take two days, asked me if i needed a car and when i said yes he said come after work and one will be organised!!
So far i think thats fantastic, now lets hope the issues is fixed once i get the ute back! :)

Best dealer service I have ever received!!!!

Postby Bad Kitty on Wed Oct 05, 2011 9:13 pm

Just booked mine in for 30,000km with Commonwealth. Wallace recommended them after National capital proved they knew sh!t from clay when it came to a few issues. Will only get to use these guys once, but know exactly where I'm headed for the next service in Brissy.

Incidentally what's the SCV? sorry girl question. Appears a few of you are having them replaced? Should I mention this to my service guys next week?

1 question, so many possible smartarse answers... I will resist.

In this case it is the suction control valve.

If you are not having any engine problems then your SCV will not need attention.

Would be interested to know if Commonwealth are any good. If they were as good as our Brisbane people perhaps I could get my warranty job looked at when I am down next. That said I expect parts are more easily obtained in Sydney so it might not be the best idea.
