I also threw the log servicing out the window at 160,000. I do most of the work myself these days. Leave the belts and tappets for someone else though
Oil and filter every 7,500 (me)
Replace fuel filter, clean the air filter, pull the tyres off and rotate - check pads/shoes - adjust rear brakes every 15,000 (me)
Check diffs and gearbox and transfer case oils, and all other fluids (replace as needed), Engine flush, grease the uni's every 30,000(me)
Tappet check and adjust and SQL every 75,000 (dealer)
Belt kit (including timing belt), Radiator flush and replace coolant every 100,000 (local mechanic)
I'm over servicing a little over on some things compared to the log book, but tappets I go way over. At nearly 250,000 can't hurt to drop the fluids more often, Doing yourself saves a motza.
I get all the filters and belts etc from Sydney filters. Fluids from Supercheap when they have the 20% off sales, pads and shoes etc from Repco (10% off for MRMA Members). Haven't fitted a genuine part in over 90,000 km.
Looking for a local supplier of Delo 400 as the cruiser needs the oil dropped every 5000km and the Nulon is just to exxy. Will run Delo in the cruiser and the Triton and buy by the 20L drum.
