Swapped the squinty looking LED bar for a bug-eyes HIDs on the XRox.. and installed a TPMS that's been floating around the garage for a couple of months..

slipped the clutch, time for a new one I think. handled the 40,000 km journey around aust well but she is slipping abit much now and harder to drive. the tune may have something to do with it though. still a standard clutch at 170,000kms so cant really complain. ;)

Bolted a roof rack on to my sports bar that I welded up on the weekend. Not sure how I feel about the look - Wife hates it  This started as a hybrid canopy (hard top/soft sides) project and I really hit the limits of my attention span on this one and thus it ended up a little messier than I'd hoped.

I think an awning and some maxtrax or a hi lift mounted on the sides will hide it a little!

Really strong though and practically it will be great to have some where to carry the gazebo and tent so they are not sitting on the fridge. Also shade for the dog when she's in the back during summer!

I agree it looks pretty good. Better than I thought from your description and the preview shot. The only bit that sort of jars the senses is the angle on the rear alloy support bar. In the photo at least the angle doesn't look like it matches the lines of the car. Whether that's the angle of the photo or there's a reason it had to be that way I don't know. But the top bit looks fine and I reckon you'd get used to the rest. Especially once you start adding other things to the picture.

Agree, just angle the rear bar so matches front and will look even better.

The concept is fantastic. 8-)

Washed mine today, first wash in over a year. It needed it too as was covered in mud. It went on the 7 and a half thousand klm trip well, but squeaks that bad it near drives me mad when I go slow. Put new bushes in front shocks as was told that was what it was and it still squeaks like hell. Spray heaps of CRC around front springs and shocks and upper and lower control arms and it sort of stops it for a while, but still can't work out what is actually squeaking and it's really loud too. if that's the only thing ever happens, then I will be happy as it does some flaming hard and rough miles

Cheers guys. The rear bar is a little angled back as the rack is slightly too long. Also the front vertical hoop angles forward thus if I make the rear bar vertical it ends up being 20mm higher at the back than the front.

Going forward I might make a new frame up to hold it similar to SEJ GLXRs canopy. Will make future canvas sides easier.

Ironman side rails and steps, ironman long range fuel tank, blanking plate and catch can. Looking forward to see how the mileage goes and if I get anything better with the catch can and plate.
