Electric engined Triton at Bathurst (The Land newspaper)

Postby subi_man on Thu May 14, 2009 10:02 am

Article in this weeks The Land newpaper about a Triton fitted with a 150kw electric motor. Some more pics and the full story in the actual newspaper, but I found a condensed article on the web.

I don't think I'll be ripping out the DiD engine juuuust yet... (but maybe Homer will swap his petrol?! ;)  )

I bet it doesn't bloody rattle like the petrol

If these electric motors were a little more wallet friendly I assume a lot of people would go down this path... anyone who doesn't travel high speed and long distances anyway.

I think i'll stick with the 3.2DiD. I'd use the 40k on a body lift, live axle conversion and a decent campertrailer and head out to the middle for a holiday.
