With the sort of power stats that Daryn rattles off you could easily be mistaken for assuming that he must have the more powerful 2.5 high power engine ;) It's not like we were expecting accuracy anyway now is it?

The 2.5's need all the help they can get so if they have to run off the back of the 3.2's again so be it.

Never less good to see that it is finally about to come out. In this shoot I was on Stockton with an Amarok at the same time. The "Iwannabea2.5" Triton, albeit modified, blew the Amarok off the dunes, seriously no competition in any respect what so ever.

G’day Daryn, mate my tail is between my legs. I can’t believe that happened, especially after you proofed the article for me. I just took a look back at the document to see where the issue lay – I made the correction on the document when I first saw it come back to me, but didn’t follow up to ensure the correct version went to print. Definitely not all good.

You can post this up on the Triton forums and tell em I take responsibility – and you can also tell them that having driven both, I reckon your Triton smokes the new Amarok!

Cheers,
Brendan Seymour

Yeah, about time a Triton made a front cover eh! I tell ya, these 4WD Action blokes wouldn't know a good truck if it drove over their heads!

I will shoulder the blame for that one there. I didn't write the article (it was the 'other' Brendan, the one who isn't as good-looking) but I did send it to Daryn for proofing, and he DID pick up on that error, and I DID attempt to correct it... but the wrong version of the article went to print.

I have a great idea for an article, though; the ultimate 2.5 v 3.2 show-down. Daryn, can you bring a hat and a fake moustache mate? That way you could play both parts...

PS Daryn let me behind the wheel of his Triton that day... man, I never realised a 2.5 could go that hard!!

I call BS Daryn. He knows the 2.5 is better and was daydreaming about it.

Great to hear that :D ...well done Daryn and well done 4wd Action 8-)

Makes no difference on the engine...they both sound like a Gemini when they rev out anyway

Nice work Daryn........good to hear the issue is finally on the stands ;) Seems like ages ago you did the photo shoot 8-)

I think you and Brendan have forgotten the most important part of the story mate.......the 4WDA blokes were originally driving the pissy little Amarok around the dunes thinking it was the ducks guts   THEN they got to drive yours   No comparison.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.
