I have a Unifilter (Part No. TT220 220S) in mine - very happy with it so far, absolutely no crap on the clean side (compared to the stock paper filter)

There is a Unifilter thread here

Cheers

agreed. I also have Unifilter, you can order them from TJM or ARB, should cost you under $90.

I also have a unifilter, works well, the only trouble I had with mine was on a weekend trip to the Springs it was so dry and dusty that the filter actually clogged up. but there was no dirt on the engine side what so ever

I installed unifilter last week, fuel computer dropped to 8.5 l/100k for about 130 k's and then over next two day rose to 10.5 - interested to see where it finally rests although I am guessing I shouldn't be trusting the fuel computer anyway....

What kind of air flow metering does the Triton use?
I recall that it was advised not to use oiled foam elements with hotwire type air flow metering.
My Jackaroo used to only have a MAP sensor so this was ok to use.
Has there been issues with dust getting past the standard paper elements?

Cannot comment without rereading the manual - maybe I should although from a non technical approach - I live on a dirt road, fine shaley dust - 4 k's of it.
Initially I was not worried about the filter although after the first 4,000k's and the initial service I pulled the factory filter out and it appeared to have dust on both sides - at very least dirty and dusty throughout. I will tell you more very shortly when I look at the unfilter if you want, it's only been in for a few hundred k's so far.

Thanks for the help guys. On friday I searched the K&N site with dimentions but got nothing. Unifilter must have the market. Misses works at Autobarn so cost price for me!
Thanks Again

Was looking through old treads and found a part number for K&N 33-2045 and thanks to Autobarn(4th plug) $90 each....or $49.95 for me. Best thing I ever did was get the misses a job at Autobarn...
When I sell my Clubsport, I will Dyno Thor (my tritons name) then again after every new performance part to show the increase in every part.
Going from a 5.7 V8 to a 3.2 CRD there is a big drop in power....but not for long...

2dads I just emailed Rocket Industries the importer of K & N Products regarding the Part no you found to replace the air filter.

I was advised that this part no 33-2045 is not the correct filter for the 3.2 Diesel triton. They do make a filter as yet & have no idea when this might happen.

Hello. I have a K&N on my 3.2, Part # 33-2918. It is a Rodeo part number but the Triton has the same airbox dimentions. Has been on for 10,000kms No worries, slight increase in power down low and about 1.5L/100km less fuel @ 120km/h. . Lot more turbo noise through the snorkle tho. Hope this helps.

Scubapro- in the old treads "Install" used this part number and only had to take the rubber seal off the paper filter and glue it on the k&n filter.
I would rather use K&n than a uni filter.

2dads have you already bought the K&N? Let me know how you go as I am interested in getting one myself.

Might pop down to Autobarn & cpmpare the bigs77 part with yours if they have them in stock.

I havn't got it yet. The misses won't let me buy it(I think she wants to for my birthday). But I will see what 1 of the 2 part numbers fit better.

Are there any of us who drive the V6's that have this Unifilter fitted? I believe the air box dimensions are exactly the same as the diesel, however Storm Trooper mentioned to me that they use a thicker foam in the diesel filter, than the petrol version.

I'd be interested to know if anyone does have it fitted to a V6 & whether there has been any issues.
You can sit there complaining, or you can knit me some seat belts.

Sim_r32,
I tryed the K&N 33-2045 one withiut the rubber seal off the standard (to see if it fits) It would ifthe seal is on it. But the misses has ordered Part # 33-2918 for the next K&N deleviry to Autobarn( so she doesn't have to buy it if it don't fit).
Hopefully it rocks up soon.
Will keep up all posted

I bought the Hlden Rodeo part & it seems to fit in perfectly. There is a fair bit more noise if you have the window down & it is too early to tell about any difference in fuel economy.

It cost me $118-00 from Autobarn.

I also ordered a set OF DBA series 4000 vented & cross drilled front disks that have just come in. I will fit them soon & let you guys know of any diference. I tow a boat a lot so if they work as advertised I will be happy.
