suspension woes

Hey folks,

just an interesting query regarding my DC v6. I have done about 15k km's and have eventually got used to how the bum slidesd when it encounters a pothole or deep rut.

Sent the car in yesterday for the 15k service and they said that it's "under investigation". They did, however give me the previous model as the loan car. But getting back in one of those, it just feels like on rails and a shyload safer.

has anyone else experienced a loose rear end?? :)

I drive on a badly corrugated dirt road daily, and at anything over 80km/hr the ute will skip halfway across the road - I put it down to the factory shock absorbers, which at 25,000km I think are due for replacement...

I wonder what they call "under investigation"?

the good lord himself only knows.

I live on a farm and regularly travel the dust roads around here, but with all my travelling I get the same on the tarmac, just been lucky that it's not raining when I'm on the tar.

It becomes quite an art to control the thing in the dust. (But fun...)

what are your upgrade options?'

sounds like a 1tonner driving empty- mine always bounces outta shape. i just put it down to leaf rear and empty.

Capitalisation (n), is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

Yep very similar to a leaf-sprung, unladen 1-tonner

the thing is i had the MK before and that's like it's on rails, never mind where....

my mrs has the mk clubcab and it's also on rails... but then the ride is a bit harder too, with the torsion bars.

dunno, just dosen't feel right...:(

lemme know how it goes! I'm not so keen to get rid of the jamjar. I really enjoy it. but there are quirks. As lomg as it handles ok, I'm safe...
