hey i thought some people may like to see photos of a lift being fitted.

The photo of my car half way through shows the front lifted but rear standard. the car's height ended up at 585mm front and 640mm rear. Just can't wait to finish off my tailshaft spacer and gearbox spacers before driving it. Much easier to remove coil and shocker as one. Great looking kit Cheers

Yeah i noticed when i was removing the tailshaft that the tailshaft moved forward 10-12mm and after the lift the gap had grown to 20mm which would be stressing the centre bearing so i'll machine up my spacer at work tomorrow and see if it fixes the problem. Cheers

Mate, just what Im After, if you dont mind me asking how much was your kit and what did you settle on for suspension type in the ironman series.
I am looking at ARB as the made in china thing worrys me a bit what are your thoughts.
Also if the spacer works are you will to make some up to sell? :-)

hey there gfm_69 my kit is constant load front and rear as i'm planning a winch bar and custom rear bar with wheel holder.

The kit was cheap it cost me only $750 with everything in the first photo including greaseable shackles. it took me about 4hrs to do it and i recommed a spring compressor for ease of removing the coil from the spring plate.
I didn't buy it directly from ironman as there cost is $1052

If you get a kit you need to say you have a auto triton which will give you the lift as the manaul kit is only slightly higher then standard due to the vibration problem.

Yes if the spacers work i can make a set to sell.

Really to me it doesn't manner where the suspension is made after all springs no manner where they are made will in the end sag. Ironman comes with a 2year warranty
PM me and i'll let you know where i go it from as i don't know whether the supplier will want everyone getting it at my price.
Cheers Mate

Anything has to be an improvement on our tiny made in Thailand stock shocks.

Made in China isn't a bad thing.....in 10 years time we will be worrying about all the cheap and dodgy stuff we are buying that has 'made in Africa' on it and saying how we only trust the quality Chinese stuff!!!

I sell ARB gear and even I am seriously thinking of giving Ironman suspension a go. (after 10 years of running ARB suspension in my utes)

Hi guys,

I'm getting the Ironman lift done on my manual ML Triton tomorrow, the the mob up here in Townsville doing the job are saying that the "shudder" issue post-lift only happens "sometimes". Do you know anything different to this? The bloke has assured me that if there is a shudder, some shims to tilt the diff back straighter sorts the issue out....does this sound true?

Unfortunately no BB. The shims are the traditional fix but the issue on the tritons is a manufacturing fault which puts the tail shaft on the limit of tolerance standard and lifting takes it beyond that so the shims will help reduce the shudder but not eliminate it.

That's going by others' experience that I've read I haven't tried to get rid of mine but will if the spacer GLXR makes up works.

Hi Gfm any shudder long term isn't good as it means something isn't right. You most likely be replacing centre bearings on a regular basic. The shudder is repairable just a manner of working it out. If the spacers i'm making don't work i have a 60series landcruiser double cardin joint tailshaft which should. Anyway i'll let everyone know as soon as i've fitted it if it fixed the problem.
Cheers

Seems like the shudder/vibration is quite a common thing on many lifted vehicles. I found a business specialising in fixing this..... check this out -

Just a pity they are based in Las Vegas !!!!!
