ECU reflash release

Postby Jitsukablue on Fri Nov 14, 2008 2:43 pm

I had the ECU reflashed with MMAL's new software, it's made some difference, not as bad from cold, but it's still quite clattery around 80+kmph. It's lost the loud clatter when the engine goes from full load to part load, and I think it doesn't vibrate as much down low in the rev range...

Made naff all difference to my surging problem when cold.
It's booked in tomorrow for;
1: check suction control valve; or
2: if that doesn't work a new ECU; and
3: rotate centre bearing bracket to fix shudder.
I have given them until the end of the week to fix it once and for all!!

Nope, sorry, the dealer seemed very aware there was a new ECU code release out. I can't imagine the code is different to what was discussed on this site, although maybe no one else has reported it?

Tassie, mine had reflash after relash to fix the surging - when they replaced the electronic throttle pedal, that made it slightly better for about a week, before it reverted back to 'normal'............ :roll: :roll:
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

I'm in the same boat as High country works for a few days then the rattle is back. I am going to speak to the dealership owner and pull some strings there..
Also contact MMA and ask doug
Or as Speedy Gonzalez once said, it won't hurt, did it
