Sam - both ends of the springs have been done previously. And - it has lead a easy life since the last attempt 4500km ago......
Tip # 1 - Avoid stress & grief & low resale values with vehicles - do it once - do it right, buy a HILUX!!

Have been told that there is a problem with the front bush on the springs the bush needs tack welding to stop it spinning and causing a squeak.

subi!

what's in the kit?? I notified my dealer when I left the car thre last week, butof course, in their true form, I have had zero feedback.

When it went in for the squeak at 7.5k oil change in Jan, looked like they also just sprayed some molyshit in there. just clocked up 18000 before it went in... but wans't squeaking...

Basically the kit is some plastic/teflon spacers that separate the squeak-making bits & pieces... Not much to it, and the dealer should fit them for you too... I'm a little sceptical about the durability of the fix, especially if you give your suspension a regular workout off-road, but time will tell!

pic below, you can see one of the new pieces inside the bracket - cheers!

I put up similar pics too Around page three. I bitched to the CEO of MrBitchey and things were under way within a week and a half, including a nice phone call from one of the girls that worked for them.

I'll get mine done tomorrow. And they will get rid of my dents on their costs. ;-)

Will wait and see if the dents will come back after next offroad trip....

Subi, silly question here, are you running stock shocks? Also, did the fix make any difference to the a$$ being so all-over the show?

(Mine never had the new parts fitted yet for the leaf spring...)

Still on the stock shocks mate, and no it didn't make a squat of difference to the nervous rear-end on corrugations (between home and the main part of the farm mine will jump across the entire width of the road :o) .

I will be putting on aftermarket shocks soon, but have to decide if I will ever a get a suspension lift first and choose shocks accordingly.

Cheers

I know it's an old issue, however mine started screaming / squeaking just today, and is it load, well I'll talk to dealer and mention the fix nbr, don't know how I'll get on having have after market extra leaf spring fitted along with grease-able shackles and upgraded shock's (what's the odd's they'll blame those or say sorry warranty voided cause of them).
