Sidesteps/brush bars

Postby DanY on Fri Jan 10, 2014 6:10 am

Brush bars and steps are the next thing on my list for my 2011 mn space cab . In my area I only have access to the arb setup as tjm tell me that their barwork is not compatible with an arb bullbar.
The next problem is that arb only make dual cab steps which they have never fitted to a space cab and they do not know if they will fit. Has anyone been in this situation or know if they will fit ? Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Have a look at srb's setup. I'm not sure whose gear he went with in the end but i remember him telling me about making he blokes order him dual cab stuff and it then fitted fine even though the blokes in the shop said it probably wouldn't. His bar is opposite lock but I'm not sure if the other stuff is as well.

Actually I just googled it and it looks like his steps and brush bars might also be opposite lock. Still worth asking the questions as he will have some good info for you.

Have a look through this thread for custom sliders and brush bars being built.

There is also a pdf available for download that will give the dimensions for the slider attachments, although the outside may have to be modified for a space cab. Find it in the Forum Directory.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

He mate, Opposite lock now make "sliders" for the club cab. $700. steel tube, alloy checker plate on top, bolt to the chassis with u bolts. I gave them a good bash the other week and they went well. They also have a cut out if you want to add brush bars later.

Sorry have been bush all weekend. 8-)
Yeah I've got the OP lock steps... Not a true rock slider but can take quite good smashing. I originally got the Bushskins sliders (dual cab ones) but they didn't fit so ordered the OP lock ones and fitted no problems as they only have two mounting to chassis.

Just buy the dual cab ones then cut and weld to fit.
